Used to live in Placitas when it was a tiny village and go to the Bernalillo mercantile, where they sold certain color wool (red, green, black and white) used for weaving sashes by the local Pueblo women. Tiny restaurant way back somewhere, buried in the town, turquoise walls, great sopapillas.

Went to some wonderful potlucks in Placitas and hiked part of the Crest trail. Spent a lot of time at the Thunderbird Bar in the mid-70’s and then again listening to friends in the Placitas Artist Series. I had a quick breakfast in Bernalillo this morning on the drive north at Abuelitas before the Balloon Fiesta traffic hit.
