Mom’s Green Chile Sauce With Pork

This is the only recipe that Mom used for green chile sauce. Simple and to the point ~ some of the best things about New Mexican food.

Yield: 4 servings

1 lb Pork meat
1 ½ cup of chopped green chile
2 cloves of garlic mashed
1 tbl flour
1 small can of tomatoes or 2 chopped fresh tomatoes
Salt to taste

1. Fry meat in shortening until browned.

2. Sprinkle flour over meat adding ingredients and enough water for right consistency.

    What a very nice photograph to go along with another recipe we are adding to our list of things to prepare. It’s 10 p.m. and I am getting hungry reading your posts. We had fish tacos for supper with avocado and sour cream. I went back out after supper to plant grass seeds in the pasture until dark. Thank you for sharing your recipes.
