Homestyle Traditional Red Chili

Vintage Mexican Take-Out Menu Graphic

3 TBL oil
1 Large clove of garlic, mashed
2 TBL Flour
1/2 c. red chili powder
2 c. water
salt to taste

Saute the garlic in oil. Blend in the flour with a wooden spoon. Add the chili powder and blend well. Don’t let the pan get too hot as the chili burns easily. Add the water, mix smooth and cook to desired consistency.

Add salt to tast.
