Dixon Studio Tour ~ 29 Years of Art and Apples

It breaks my heart that I can’t make it to this year’s Dixon Studio Tour but you should. After 29 years of welcoming tourists into welding, pottery and painting studios, the artists in Dixon are doing it again this weekend, November 6th and 7th from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

It’s not your usual studio tour. There’s something to delight everyone from Judith Buffaloe’s prayer flags to Susan Feaveryer’s herbal remedies to Siri Hollander’s mythical bronze horses.

Here’s a description of what each artist and business will be showing and a map of the events. The Taos News has some great interviews and a brief history.

In the spirit of the event, I’m making Dixon Champagne Apple Pastelitos and checking out all the artists’ websites to see all the cool art, new and old, that I’m going to be missing.
