The historical two-story brick Queen Anne-style building on Old Town’s Plaza -The Manuel Springer House built around 1900 – houses the Covered Wagon and several other shops.

Long rumored claims say that the building was once used as a speakeasy and brothel during prohibition and that it is haunted by the ghost of a prostitute named Scarlett. The Covered Wagon was Investigated several times by Southwest Ghost Hunters Association. The results are here.
